I bought this lamp to take to our little vacation house and ended up keeping it at our homeit's on a table in our bedroom. The light is soft and diffused throughout the room, and it keeps me from having to turn on our garish ceiling fan lights above. It's too big to be a nightlamp/bedside table, but it works well on another table more central in the room. I love the interesting shape and the price could not be beat. The lamp arrived quickly and well-packedI would not hesitate to order from this company again. I've never seen a lamp like this one and I'm glad I decided to take a chance and buy it.
