The finish and craftsmanship are wonderful on this piano lamp. I was particularly impressed by the neo-classical contrast of the marble and brass, and the center molding. It is a solid, well-designed piece. The arm is long enough to stretch from the rear of a studio upright over to the music shelf. I use two 40-watt bulbs, which give a pleasant light, but not too strong, still adequate for the task. It takes up to 60W bulbs, however, if you desire stronger illumination.
