This is a marvelous LED lantern for use indoors or outdoors that is just a great product. It is stylishly designed and it is very bright. You can adjust the brightness of the light with a very simple control. The light features a built in Lithium battery that can be recharged and it comes with a USB to Micro USB charging cable that you can use with your computer's USB port or any USB AC wall charger that you own. The light has a very nice price on it and my wife and I just purchased a package of 8 C sized batteries that cost as much as this light. This light has a built in 3000 mAh battery that can be recharged up to 500 times and the lantern will operate for 9 hours of continuous light when set at the brightest level. Based on the price of alkaline batteries you have paid for the lantern after you have recharged it 3 or 4 times and not had to use expensive throw away batteries in it.

This lantern is a fantastic light for camping, setting on the deck, sitting by the pool at night or for use during emergencies or power outages. The lantern contains 16 bright LEDs and it provides some serious light when you need it. I made a video of the light and it is bright enough to light up a room. It has a nice carrying handle on the top and a flip out hanger on the bottom that you can use to hang the lantern on a string, rope or on a tree branch. It has a simple one touch control button that turns the light on and off. If you press the button and hold it you can dim or brighten the light to any level from the brightest setting down to off. The outside of the lantern is a frosted lens that softens the light and makes it comfortable for your eyes without any glares.

It takes about 5 hours of charging time using your computer's USB port to get 9 hours of continuous operation. There is a LED on the side by the charging port and when it is red then plug in the lantern and charge it because the battery is low. When the LED is green it means that the battery is charging and when the LED goes out is means that the battery is fully charged. The charging cable is 40 inches long. The lamp is protected from over charging, over discharge and short circuit protection.

I really like this product and I think it is a great product. I strongly recommend it to you. I rate it at 5 stars.

If you are looking for a lantern that is safe and easy to use then you will love this rechargeable lantern. It is easy to carry around in the house when the lights are out and can also be used like a candle to create a romantic glow. Since I have cats I can't light candles and leave them unattended. I only have one place in my house I can light a candle and I still have to be in the room to make sure the cats don't knock it over. So really I appreciate this lantern for its ability to light entire rooms. It easily provides light for the kitchen, living room and dining room which are all one big open room. To use this lantern you just tap your finger on the button on the front. Then you tap again for the lights to go off. If you want to have less or more light you just hold your finger on the button and it adjusts accordingly. I also liked that I could hang this light outside on my porch. It hangs easily from a hook.

I was very excited to get this product as we have horses and I am using this lantern when I go out to do morning chores in the dark [no electric in either the hay shed or the lean-to]. It gives great light but I discovered carrying the light by its plastic hook handle on the bottom [which also fit my hand better] gave more light in the direction I wanted it. The downside is that this morning, after only a week of use, the plastic handle broke! I really like the fact it is rechargeable although it would be better if the battery was replaceable once it no longer can take the charge. Since we lose our power on a regular basis during winter months/storms I purchased two more for Christmas gifts. A few tweaks and this lantern would be just about perfect.

Frankly when I went to take a look at the price of this Ivation LED Multifunction Lamp, I was surprised at the price. It was cheaper than I expected. If this doesn't end up being one of the best-selling emergency lamps on Amazon I'll be surprised. This one is heading straight to camp where there are a lot of power outages. Now I have a larger, clunkier Coleman lantern for that purpose at home, but I'm always worried the battery will conk out on me during long outages.

OK, what do I like about it? Try everything. The design is kind of funky, it's lightweight, it has dimming capability, it can be hung up, placed on a flat surface, carried, and on and on. Probably the thing many people will like, including me, is that it's rechargeable and there's no need for expensive batteries like the Coleman needs. I charged it from my PC overnight and was good to go. If you have a battery pack, the included micro USB cable can be used with them as well.

Probably the only weak spot is the little hanger than folds flush into the bottom of the unit. If that fails, it can be hung from the handle. The on/off switch is very sensitive and can be activated with a very light touch. I could go on and on, but this Ivation lamp is the best thing since sliced bread, is smaller than a breadbox, and a guaranteed best-seller.

First of all, the lantern came exactly on time. I tried it out immediately, everything worked. It is simple to use, you run your finger over the on off button to turn it on or off and to dim it. Since I wanted to use it to help light my walk on Halloween and wasn't sure about the charge of the battery, I left the light on for several hours to run down the battery and then completely charge it. Charging is easy because all you do is connect the lamp to your computer or to a charger that plugs into an outlet. I had read that the charge would take less time if I used the outlet charger so this is what I did. A red light indicated that it needed to be charged. The light was green when the battery was charging and went out when the charge was complete. Nice to have something that is so easy to use. I am perhaps mechanically challenged and usually have to read directions several times and then sometimes can't figure out how to get the battery out to charge it. This was so easy, perhaps I would not have even needed to read directions. On Halloween it served the purpose for which I intended, stayed lit for complete trick or treat time. It is bright enough to help out when there is a power failure and to use for beach walking at night. There is only one problem when I released the bottom hanger, it would not stay back in position. I taped it up but would have preferred that it fasten back into its place.

It is a great purchase that exactly meets my needs. My grandchildren are excited about using it for night beach walking, etc. It is nice to know that when they forget to turn it off I will merely charge the battery as opposed to looking for flashlight batteries.
