My main complaint here is not about color, however. It's the lampshade. The packaging of the product is not very good as my lampshade arrived with dents that I can't get out.

I purchased two of these for a friend of mine. From the picture on the website, we thought it was a big and heavy black lamp. So imagine our surprise when we saw the box it came in. The lamp is nice and cute. However it is small, like size of a "baby" lamp. A lamp you would put in a nursery or next to a little toddler girl's bed. Plus when you turn the lamp on, the part that looks black in the picture, actually looks purple in real life in the light. We tried it in different lights, including the sun light and it still looks purple. The lamp says "Wrought Iron", but I really wonder about that since it is not heavy at all. Usually anything iron is heavy. But correct me if I'm wrong. Regardless, the lamps are nice and do what they are suppose to do, give light and make the room come together. I would recommend them to other people, but with the knowledge about them that I didn't have before purchasing them. The lamp arrived with the shade crushed beyond repair and I had to hunt down a replacement. I thought it was bad shipping at first. On closer inspection, the outer shipping box appeared to be in perfect condition. The company must have crushed it in their warehouse and sent it off pre-crushed for me. Thanks guys, I won't be ordering anything delicate from y'all again. The lamp itself was pretty good quality otherwise; nice and heavy with good paint. Pretty stable so the cat or the kiddos won't knock it over easily. The new GU24 base is a big improvement over the century-old Edison screw too (GU24 socket CFLs are coming on the market now and should be available everywhere soon).
