Product arrived ok Seemed in good shape The base is so delicate with no cushioning on the bottom of the lamp if you set the lamp down normally it will crack as my lamp did I suggest putting stick on pads around base to avert such a disaster. I was so excited when I found this lamp and it would match my new living room furniture perfectly. It was pricey for me, but I bought it anyways.I did measurements from the product description, which were confusing. So when it arrived, I was shocked to see how small it really was. It was meant for living room, but ended up on my bedroom nightstand. The lamp shade also lays pretty low onto the lamp itself. There is no way to raise it up and for it to stay in place. It was definitely not worth the $50 I paid.

I love this lamp and kept it for my daughter's room, but couldn't use it as a bedside table lamp because it was much smaller than I anticipated, even with considering the listed dimensions.It is really cute. It is more small and flimsy than expected. I also wanted it to provide more light in my daughter's room; we ended up getting a second lamp.

The light fixture is high quality, My expectation was that the bulb and shade assembly would swing at the main stem and second knuckle out from the main stem. Not so. The main stem is fixed. Also I expected from the photos that the shade color would cast a warm off white glow when the fixture was on. With the shade shipped it casts a very white light with a standard 60 watt bulb. The switch and outlet on the base are nice features that give some balance to my disappointments.

I purchased three of these and was delighted to see how nice they look (much better than the picture on amazon). I ordered in November 2011, and the lamp came with a MLB logo on two opposing sides and "Detroit Tigers" with the Detroit D underneath on the other two sides.I changed the three lamps into pendant lights over the bar in the basement that I just put in using "mini pendant light kits" from lowes.

Size, shape and appearance are great when the light is on.
However, when the light is off, if you look from close distance, it feels like some dull colored plastic pieces put together with some tar like black glue. I was expecting some metallic looking or foil like stuff in between the pieces.
I am still happy about how it looks when the light is on.

I received this item as a Christmas gift a couple of years back. I loved the look of it, and it fit into a very tight spot between my bed and the wall with the including clamp. Shortly after setting it up, I noticed that the light would flicker in intensity intermittently while using it. The problem was off and on, but very annoying for a device you use to read at night by. I contacted Koncept customer support and they were willing to look at it, if i sent it in to them at my own expense. I did so, and after a couple of weeks received the same unit back, with a statement that they could not verify the problem, but replaced the power brick anyway. This did the trick, and I happily enjoyed it for almost a year. Shortly after the one-year warranty expired, the switch to turn it on and off died altogether. A quick google of the issue shows me that it is not isolated at all, and that they used a switch that does not stand up well to use over time. Despite several attempts to contact customer support over the design issue, they were unresponsive.
So while I love the design of Koncept's lamps, I cannot and will not recommend their products to ANYONE.

Ordered this model after reseaching LED lamps on many web sites. This is an excellent lamp for my computer desktop. The silver looks great against my Dell brushed aluminum LCD monitor. Positioning is flexible with the double joints, twisting lamp bar, and included heavy base or clamp mount. Construction has a very solid, durable feel yet is lightweight. Four brightness levels provide more than enough light. I keep it on 3 for computer work. Really like LED low heat and limited angle of projection. This allows me to position this just in front of my monitor without producing screen glare or shining back in my eyes. I had some apprehension about such an expensive desk lamp, but I am glad I took the plunge. I was looking for a non-fluorescent articulating desk lamp. Most articulating lamps need constant fiddling/tightening, and don't hold their position very well. The Z-Bar stays right where you put it. No fuss, no tightening or loosening. It also has a tiny footprint. I am using the included desk clamp to attach it to the desktop hole made for wires.The lamp puts out good light. It doesn't irritate me like fluorescents, and it is almost soothing (I purchased the "Daylight" model). The six individual lights do create a slight six shadow effect. If you can, set the light so that it illuminates from the opposite of your dominate hand (if you are right handed, have it shine from the left so as not to create a shadow from your hand onto your work.
The Z-Bar puts out good light wherever you shine it but it does not cast much ambient light, and the work area is somewhat small (read: if you are looking to light up a room, this is not what you want). You can raise the lamp higher for a broader area.
Bonus: this sucker does not get hot (pretty warm, but not hot). At any time you can touch the lamp without fear. It also uses only 9 watts at full brightness (compared to, say, 60 watts for a normal incandescent).
My only other complaints are niggling. Turning the unit on/off requires 4 presses of either the + or buttons (though the buttons are of good quality and easily accessible). Also, it is a contemporary looking light. Not my style, but I will accept its function over form. Despite the look, it is fairly non-obtrusive, and it goes with pretty much any modern-day office gear (I got the silver).
This is a great and functional product of high quality. After a childhood of being hit on the head with a burning hot desk lamp that wouldn't stay put, I feel that I am finally beginning to see the light (or is that the result of repeated head trauma? ... ). I recommend this product! If you spend a lot of time at work and hate fluorescents, you may wish to spend a bit of scratch on decent lighting. It's a quality of life issue.
(side note: I originally bought the mini-high power led desk lamp. It was nice, but too dinky, so I returned it. I would only recommend that model for a very small work area.)

The light is REALLY concentrated, as in only 1 foot of space receives 90% of the light. This light is sufficient for up to the width of an open text book, but not enough to light up more than that text book or your whole desk. Also, I can see dark spots on the lit area that correspond to the gaps between the LEDs of the bar. It's a little nauseating when I'm trying to study, and it's apparent enough that I can't ignore it. The z-bar is really light and mobile, but I don't move it much from my desk. It doesn't emit any noticeable heat, but the bar gets really hot if you touch it (duh). Did I regret buying it for so much money? I could have bought a much less expensive desk lamp but I am a tekkie and this lamp looks so good on my desk.I had originally ordered the 'HIGH POWER' with 6 Next-Gen high power LEDs
& Built-in 4-step dimmer, but due to a mix up somewhere I got the 'Super Bright 66-LED Z-Bar LED Desk Lamp By Koncept', instead. I was somewhat disappointed until I tried this one and found it to be completely capable of illuminating my desk top to a comfortable brightness level.
I notified customer service people at Bigamazonstore (the Amazon seller) of the shipping error, and they e-mailed me very quickly with an offer to send a return shipping label and a swap or credit may account with the difference. I opted for the credit. If I knew the 'HIGH POWER' version was significantly brighter than this one I would have waited for the swap.
I find the light quality to be great for reading with my aging eyes. Text and graphics 'POP' right out of the paper. The light is bluer than sunlight and some people might prefer a warmer light. Without breaking out my light meter and running comparisons I would say this light is at least as bright as a 2 tube fluorescent lamp but with no buzz, no flicker, instant on, and one quarter the power consumption. I wouldn't want to use this light to grade high quality photos for a magazine layout.
Again my hat is off to customer support at Bigamazonstore for their quality response.

I received this lamp today, delivery took only 2 days. Awesome.
First, the color of lamp is not quite amber style at all. its white( yes, its true). I ordered this product cause i wanted it to match my room-divider which is a birch like color. So , here on the image it looked perfect for it, but when i received a real lamp, its just not the same color like on a pic.
Second, i am hesitant that this is a real glass, to me its more like sort of a plastic cover, its just feels so cheap in your hands, like as if your are getting smth from a dollar store!!!!!
Third, lamp remains loose on a base, no matter how hard you tighten those screws there.
So, my general conclusion and advise is that. Just visit your local home goods store and find smth. nicer for much less money. I will truly miss my $30 home goods lamp that i had to replace with this $170 "Tiffany" monster.

I have had this lamp for about 3 months and I love it. I use it on the table next to my bed to read while my wife sleeps next to me. No more getting yelled at for waking her! The base is heavy enough to make it quite stable in all positions except "fully extended." The length of the gooseneck is such that it can easily reach my book from the night stand and the light is well focused so it lights primarily the book with minimal room light. Because it is an LED lamp, there is no heat generated as with the old high intensity reading lamps. The only possible improvement would be a control to vary the level of light rather than just off/on. Well constructed should provide years of service.

This LED lamp is just want I was looking for. The gooseneck is flexible enough to position the way I want, but stiff enough to hold its position. It is long enough to put beside my 24" monitor and arch over it to illuminate the desk work area without glaring in my eyes or on the screen. I've been using this as an auxiliary bedside lamp for about 6 months, and I love it. In fact, I just came back to the website, hoping to find the same exact lamp in a floor model, and that's when I decided to write a brief review. I LOVE the fact that it has a weighted base, so it doesn't tip over when you adjust the extended gooseneck. When I say "auxiliary"light, what I mean is: It's fairly bright on its own, but I must admit that I often use it in combination with another LED lamp because I prefer an extra bright light for reading. In hot weather, I also like the fact that it stays perfectly cool. I love to read, but when it's hot out, I don't like having a hot reading light burning down on me, so the coolness of the LED light is a big plus. You can touch it after it's been on for an hour or more, and it will still be cool. When you buy an LED Lamp it is hard to evaluate just how suitable it will be compared to the halogen or incandescent night table or regular lamp fixture you may be replacing. LEDs are oftentimes less bright or have a narrower beam. When we tried out this night table LED lamp it does have a somewhat narrower beam than the light fixture it replaced but the LED fixture is very bright and does cast out a beam that is superior to the lamp it replaced. The flexible lamp stem also allows you to configure the lamp in an infinite number of configurations, much more versatile compared to the old fixture. Also, our old fixture as typical of night table lamps oftentimes have bulbs that are less common and sometimes hard to find a replacement, whereas the LED not only uses a fraction of the wattage but the LEDs will probably never need replacement since their bulblife is so long compared to halogen and incandescent bulbs. Highly recommend this reading lamp for night table use. I've had this lamp for three months now. It's good at doing the job I want it for (reading in bed without keeping my wife awake), and on the whole, I'm happy with it.Be aware that this is very much a "task light," not a room lamp. It provides very bright light in a small and highly-adjustable area, which makes it good for reading, or for illuminating a desktop; but it won't light up the room. (For me, that's a feature I want-just be aware of it).
Also, be aware that (like a lot of LEDs) it's a very "cool" light-very white, almost bluish. Some people may like that; personally, I'd prefer something a bit warmer.
Pros:
Very intense light
Stays cool
Nice long neck that's highly adjustable, and is stiff enough
Toggle switch on the base is easy to operate
However, the lamp has a few design issues that I don't like, so I can only give it four stars.
Cons:
The base isn't really heavy enough. It doesn't tip over... but it moves around when I adjust the light up and down (which I do a lot-bring it down when I want to read in bed, push it up out of the way when I'm not using it). This would be less of a problem if it were a desk lamp that mostly stayed in the same position. I wish the base were about three times as heavy. I solved the problem by getting a little C-clamp and clamping it down to the tabletop (the base is shaped nicely for that), but it seems silly that I should have to do that.
Poor lens design. There's a clear plastic lens that covers the LEDs. Instead of being recessed flush in the metal lamp head, it protrudes from the surface, and a lot of light leaks out through the side edges. This means that I get a lot of direct-from-the-lamp glare in my eyes when I'm trying to read (I want it to shine on the book, not in my eyes). It's eye-straining and highly annoying. I solved this by getting a couple of strips of black electrical tape (which is extremely opaque) and covering the sides of the lens... but I shouldn't have to do that.
The cone of light coming out is too broad, so I have to adjust the light position carefully if I don't want glare in my eyes. A sharper-edged, more focused light distribution would be friendlier.
The lamp is designed such that the light comes out at a right angle to the neck of the lamp. I've had other flexible-neck lamps that shone straight out from the end of the neck, and found that arrangement to be much more convenient in positioning the light where I want it.

The product description stated that lamp takes three 60 watt bulbs (not included). The product I received clearly states that wattage cannot exceed 25 watts. When I attempted to return the product, I received an automated e-mail requesting a photo ofthe defect WHAT???? Still trying to return the product.
